American gymnast Nastia Liukin captured silver in the uneven bars Monday. Liukin and China’s He Kexin each scored 16.725s in the uneven bars, but He claimed the victory because her execution marks were closer to a perfect 10.

Romania’s Sandra Izbasa — the very last competitor — grabbed the floor exercise gold with a near faultless routine.

She scored 15.65, while Johnson got 15.5 and Liukin had 15.425.

Nastia Liukin of the U.S. edged teammate Shawn Johnson for the all-around gold in women’s gymnastics Friday in an intense match-up that lived up to its billing at the Beijing Games. United States Liukin finished with 63.325 points, a mere six-tenths ahead of Johnson, the reigning world champion who beat Liukin at the U.S. championships and Olympic trials only a few weeks ago.
